Premium Varieties and Organic Harvesting
Every year in November we harvest the olive trees in MASSERIA DEL GECO. Our organic olive oil comes from 6 different and high-quality olive varieties: Cellina, Leccina, Salella, Nocellara, Frantoiana and Coratina. The olives are carefully picked by hand.
Hand Harvesting
Olives are harvested exclusively by hand, carefully selecting each fruit to ensure they remain intact and healthy. This artisanal practice, carried out in the cool hours of the morning, safeguards quality and preserves the olives’ natural properties.

Pressing Within 24 Hours
The olives are milled within 24 hours of harvest to prevent oxidation and maintain their rich aromas, flavors, and precious polyphenols. Our mill, located just minutes from the groves, allows for rapid processing, guaranteeing an oil of exceptional quality.
Dedication Over Time
After production, the oil is meticulously stored and subjected to continuous tastings and analyses to monitor its evolution. Thanks to three generations of dedication and expertise at Masseria del Geco, we proudly offer an extra virgin olive oil that embodies the authentic essence of our family’s tradition.

Favorable Climate (close to the sea)
The close proximity of our farm to the Ionian Sea provides the perfect breeze and contributes to the unique character of our olive oil. The combination of fertile soil from the area (called in Italian) “Conca D'Oro” (Valley of Gold), the fresh sea breeze and our environmentally friendly farming methods creates an environment in which our olives can thrive and become an exceptional organic olive oil.
