“I look forward to the olive harvest in Puglia in November every year. November is usually a rather gray and dreary month in Switzerland and sometimes in Italy too. In Puglia it smells of oranges, clementines and olives and I'm always very happy to spend at least a week working close to nature and harvesting the olives by hand together with loved ones. In the evening you are tired and warm yourself by the fireplace in the MASSERIA DEL GECO house after a delicious South Italian dinner and then soon fall asleep physically tired. In the morning, after breakfast and a good cup of coffee, the work continues and the sun, which is low in the sky but still warm, shines on your face. It's the ideal experience to soak up some sun before the long winter and then take home the liquid gold, which is also extremely healthy.” Giovanni
